We recently met two amazing people - Udara and Sashen - who had the most caring personalities and a love so beautifully crafted. I remember when I first spoke with Udara about capturing her wedding - she was so sweet and wanted to have a lot of memorable moments. With weddings we capture more candid moments than traditional images because we love seeing the naturalness of not only the bride and groom but their family and friends as well.
Udara and Sashen's in-home wedding took place on Sunday, December 18th. It was a wintery day in Illinois of course but I personally love wedding photography with a little snow in the background. The 'first look' was captured with the bride and groom on a snow patch with straw like weeds and a frozen pond in the background. The scene was absolutely beautiful for the newlywed couple especially with the winter sky. I love the winter sky - it is so different from other seasons. It brings a more richer - deeper - darker shade of blue vs the washed out blue in the summertime.
The details of Udara and Sashen's wedding were absolutely gorgeous. The sign that welcomes all of the guests to their wedding - a framed photo of the two - a white vase with pink and green flowers that added a lovely touch to the decor and a few candle sticks that were lit to add a little warmth to the area. And we can't forget about the beautiful cake that represents a long lasting love. Wedding details are one of my favorite things to capture. Whether it is a string of polaroids of the two of you or items from the journey you've had - we love to capture it.
Udara and Sashen's wedding was stunning and we loved every bit of it. We wish Udara and Sashen the absolute best on their new beginning and we thank them for allowing us to capture their special day.
